I found giving the coil a very quick fire enabled me to obtain a resistance reading of between 0.21-0.23ohm which is what I would expect it to be.įlavour was much improved, I found the sweet spot to be 27w with this coil and 210c, but still nothing special.
Testing it on a number of different mods gave the same result- the coil was being read at over 0.35ohm when it is supposed to be 0.2ohm.
Things got much better when using the 0.2ohm Ni200 coil in temperature control, although it did take my mod a fair while to obtain a correct resistance reading for the coil despite both tank and mod both being at room temperature. I’ve checked that the juice flow holes are unobstructed as well, but unfortunately I get dry hits so frequently from this coil that I haven’t been able to use it any further! 0.2ohm Ni200 Coil
I swapped the 60/40 juice I was using for a 50/50 juice and things didn’t get any better. Unfortunately after around an hour dry hits began to creep in, around every 7-10 puffs I took on the tank, and decreasing the wattage was not making any difference.
After priming the coil with a few drips of juice and letting the tank stand with a full tank of juice for an hour I got decent flavour at 25-30w and the cloud production was really good. On first impressions, the performance of the 0.5ohm coil was pretty good. I will go through the performance of both coils below- 0.5ohm Kanthal Coil I’ve experienced issues wicking juice with a VG content above 60%, basically the tank has really struggled to keep up when using a juice with a high VG content resulting in dry hits or a dry coil warning on my mod when using the Ni200 coil.Īlso, I get leaks through the base of the tank, not heavy leaking but there seems to be juice weeping from the bottom of the tank quite frequently. The Ehpro eTank S2 comes with two coils, a 0.5ohm kanthal coil for regular variable wattage use and a 0.2ohm Ni200 coil. You can blow some decent clouds with this tank with the airflow wide open, it’s pretty airy! How Does The Ehpro eTank S2 Perform?
Recommended to be used from 5 watts to 50 watts.Airflow control ring with various airflow options.Airflow is controlled through a smooth airflow control ring on the side of the tank.Ĭoils are easy to swap out as the coils don’t need to screw into the base, you simply slot them in, but you need to ensure you have an empty tank otherwise you will lose all of your juice! Ehpro Etank S2 Key Features Tank capacity is 5ml, which is good as that should last you the majority of the day when out and about, and whilst I have used the eTank S2 it doesn’t seem particularly thirsty compared to other tanks out there.įilling is done through a top filling system, the top cap screws off quickly and easily, and you have some huge juice fill holes. It feels like a really well made tank, solidly built and the pyrex tank section is pretty thick, surviving more that one impact on the floor from height! You have a wide bore pyrex drip tip included which is really nice looking and also helps improve on flavour as you don’t get the metallic taste that you experience from a stainless steel drip tip.Īll sections of the Ehpro eTank S2 disassemble easily so you can clean the tank thoroughly. That’s really poor from Ehpro, basic information like that should be included on the box as well as in the instruction manual. There’s nothing here to tell you whether the coils are kanthal or Ni200, I had to do a quick check online beforehand to double check. 1x Ehpro eTank S2 with 0.2ohm Ni200 temperature control coil fitted.Sounds pretty cool, so lets have a look! In The Box The eTank S2 sports a top filling design, 5ml capacity, pretty large airflow and an interesting ‘gravity mechanics’ principle used to reduce leakage issues. The eTank S2 is the ‘sister’ tank to the original Ehpro eTank S1 sub ohm tank, marketed at those chasing flavour more than clouds, and also including an option of using Ni200 coils in order to be compatible with temperature controlled box mods.
Since moving away from manufacturing clones, Ehpro have been knocking out some really good stuff as of late, such as the Epoch D1 tank and a range of interesting rebuildable dripping atomisers. Updated Etank S2 From Ehpro – An Improvement?
